Net Price
Net price is the average yearly price actually charged to undergraduates after subtracting grants and scholarships they may receive. Net price moves beyond an institution's published "sticker price" and provides students and families with an idea of how much it might really cost them to attend an institution.
Net price varies by student family income and type of institution attended.

Most students are eligible for some type of financial aid
Minnesota students and families annually receive roughly $3 billion in financial aid to help pay for college. The money comes from the state of Minnesota and the federal government, colleges, and private sources. There are also tax benefits and deductions that make what families have to pay more manageable.
The net price estimates how much it might really cost to attend a particular college depending on family income and subtracting any federal, state and institutional aid undergraduate students may receive. Use the U.S. Department of Education's College Navigator tool to explore colleges across the nation and to help gauge how much college may cost your family at the school of your choosing. You can also use our financial aid estimator for Minnesota colleges.
